CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OFFICER (CTMO)












Traf Tech Academy and CIDB Holdings successfully inaugurated the Construction Traffic Management Officer (CTMO) Programme for Sabah state on July 15, 2025, marking a significant collaborative effort to elevate traffic safety standards at construction sites. The official launch ceremony, held at the Khayr Services Sdn Bhd Office, was officiated by Mr. Nazri bin Zakaria, Director of CIDB Sabah, who emphasized the crucial role of certified CTMOs in managing traffic and mitigating risks on public roads. The event showcased strong industry support with the attendance of key representatives from organizations including CIDB Sabah, JKR Traffic & Transportation, DBKK Traffic & Transportation, KSAFE SB, SAPTT, SP Setia, Azam Jaya SB, Sinkong JV Fleet SB, and Kontraktor Fokus Niaga SB. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the competency of construction personnel and is seen as a vital step towards a safer working environment, with the hope that this collaboration will serve as a turning point in empowering the CTMO role and improving overall traffic safety practices across Malaysia.

The highly successful Seminar: Revolusi Landskap KKP 2025 took place on February 25, 2025, at the Sutera Harbour in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Organized by the Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Sukan Malaysia Cawangan Sabah, the event featured an in-depth analysis of the latest industry developments and their strategic implementation for the future. This seminar brought together leaders and professionals for critical discussions on the new direction of the KKP sector in Sabah.
A crucial event, the "SEMINAR ON THE SAFE MANAGEMENT OF TRACTORS AND HEAVY MACHINERY: TOWARDS A RISK-FREE WORKPLACE," is scheduled for August 25, 2025, at the Borneo Royale Hotel, Tawau, Sabah. This significant seminar is a joint endeavor organized by the Ministry of Human Resources, the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Sabah (DOSH Sabah), and the Welfare and Sports Organisation of DOSH Malaysia Sabah Branch. The primary objective of this program is to elevate awareness and improve the implementation of safety risk management protocols pertaining to the operation of tractors and heavy machinery, thereby contributing directly to the establishment of a safer and zero-risk working environment.

On April 29, 2025, a productive courtesy visit was conducted at the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Sandakan office. The delegation engaged in a comprehensive meeting with CIDB Sandakan officials, fostering discussions on collaborative initiatives and industry developments. This significant gathering provided an invaluable platform for exchanging insights and strengthening professional relationships, underscoring our commitment to strategic partnerships within the construction sector.
The discourse notably centered on developments within the road construction and civil engineering sectors in the region. Key agenda items included a detailed review of the latest regulatory compliance frameworks governing quality control, safety standards, and sustainable practices for road projects in Sabah. Both parties affirmed their dedication to ensuring all future infrastructure projects adhere to the highest industry benchmarks, specifically exploring collaborative strategies to ensure timely delivery and superior workmanship for local road networks.

On October 10, 2025, the Director of Kinabalu Traffic led a delegation for a courtesy visit to the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Sandakan office.
